Is my guinea pig okay or just acting different?

For some odd reason, one night, my guinea pig decided to sleep in an empty bowl in his cage and put his front paws in his water bowl (full of water). He was like that all night and it was really weird. i noticed that he did not have anymore hay so i put some in there and he hopped out of the bowls and hid under his hay behind is sleeping area. Normally he will sleep in the bed that i made him and come and grunt at me when i go up to the cage. The next day he seemed really tired when i was holding him. So i put him down to run around a bit and he walking around a little. Usually i use cedar bedding (i have been hearing it is not good for him to use but he seems fine with it. It is not bothering him.) On top of that i put so care fresh bedding and he loves that. I also line the cage with newspaper and he does not chew it.I, that day, ran out of care fresh bedding and that is when he slept in his bowls. I decided that he may have not been comfortable in his bed so put a cloth in there for him to sleep on. He was in there all day and night and i don't know why because he usually is not. I just took him out now and he still is just hiding under a box and stool and comes out sometimes like always to see what i am doing or what a certain noise is. He does not act differently otherwise. I fed him some water in a dropper to make sure he has water and every part of his body looks healthy but the day i found him in the bowl and the hay, i also saw some dried up pee on his bottom and back legs, i not sure why. I have a special bath powder so used that on him and then brushed it and then wiped it with a damp cloth and then a dry cloth. I just wanted to know if he is just acting different or may be sick.
