What can I use to clean soda from the internal componants of a laptop?

I let my brother barrow my Gaming laptop and he had set it on the carpet running, which is already a no no, and in his room is hundreds of monster energy drink cans and my assumption is a can spilled over close to the laptop and the heat from it and the fan sucked up the soda. when i discovered this i took it apart and found that a portion of the pins on my graphics card had fried a huge hole so its no good. but everything else looks good except being covered in a green sticky syrup. i have some quick dry electronic parts cleaner but ive just been using a very soft lightly damped towel.
